I view public engagement in philosophy and bioethics as an ordinary duty of being an academic, and regularly take requests for articles, public lectures, and school conferences or talks. I have worked with a number of schools to organise sixth form events, including Worth School, Westminster School, and Downside School. I have also spoken at other schools such as St Bonaventure’s in East London, Thornhill College in Derry, and King Edward VI High School for Girls in Birmingham.

My media writing on bioethics has appeared in a wide range of publications, such as The Spectator, The Tablet, Channel News Asia, and the Straits Times. I have discussed end-of-life issues (such as the ethics of DNRs and the Alfie Evans case), pandemic ethics, and the ethics of mitochondrial donation (colloquially known as ‘three-parent IVF’).
